CBT, what is it?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a form of psychotherapy or treatment method based on the theory that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected and influence each other. CBT focuses on identifying and changing negative and unrealistic patterns of thought and behavior that may contribute to psychological problems, and developing more healthy and functional patterns of thought and behavior.
CBT is a short-term therapy that is usually structured and goal-oriented, and it can be used to treat various types of mental health problems, such as depression, anxiety, phobias, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, sleep disorders, and many other conditions.
